Communities in Massachusetts Install or Expand Laserfiche

February 3, 2021 – Many communities in Massachusetts have recently installed a new Laserfiche system or expanded their system to more users or departments, implemented public portals, or automated processes.

In some cases, these municipalities realized that, due to the pandemic, a Virtual Work Environment was essential to allow for remote work and provide access to information to the public from anywhere. The use of CARES act funds was possible for some of these projects. Other projects were made possible through a state Community Compact IT grant.

Here are what some of your neighbors in Massachusetts are up to:

Town of Barnstable

A major upgrade to Laserfiche Rio and a backfile scanning project, to get all of their records into their newly expanded system.

City of Salem

The City’s spellbinding public portal contains records dating back 386 years and was led by the City’s IT Department, with financial support from the City of Salem and a Massachusetts Community Compact IT grant.

City of Woburn

The City is brand new to Laserfiche and is implementing a Laserfiche Cloud system. It is starting off in the clerk’s office, but will expand to be used town-wide.

Town of North Reading

A major upgrade to Laserfiche Rio which includes the Records Management module, forms, and a public portal.

Town of Hamilton

This town had no system in place. They are installing a Laserfiche Rio system which will allow them to get much of their hardcopy files into Laserfiche. This project ties into the renovation of their town hall, as it will reduce the amount of document storage space that is required after the project is complete and allow for access to information while they occupy a temporary town hall.

Many areas of the existing Hamilton Town Hall are used for document storage. Their new Laserfiche system will reduce the amount of space that is used for this purpose.

City of Northampton

While they have a Laserfiche system that includes forms and a forms portal, their most recent project focused on a Municity system for their Building Department.

ICC CDS has created a content management and process automation package for municipalities that is powered by Laserfiche. This affordable, easy-to-use system gives you the advanced tools that you need to operate, especially in today’s world that demands a Virtual Work Environment.

Learn how Laserfiche is a perfect solution for any clerk’s office or municipal department that is looking to make the jump from paper to digital in one easy, affordable step. It can be utilized by any department to increase access and efficiency.
